General Information

How is Biological Material Transported?

The procedure involves a series of sequential steps.

First, an embryologist at the cryobank receives a transport request and prepares a Dewar vessel. This specialized equipment can maintain the extremely low temperature of liquid nitrogen (-196°C) for up to 21 days.

Next, the carriers containing the biological material are retrieved from cryostorage and placed into an intermediate container. A second specialist must be present at this stage to meticulously cross-check the data related to the biological material and its owner.

After verification, the carriers are transferred to the Dewar vessel, which is equipped with a protective casing. This construction prevents the container from tipping or falling during transport.

Every step demands the utmost focus: even the slightest deviation from the set temperature can compromise the integrity of the biological material.

Cell Transportation

We organize the international transport of biological materials between medical institutions.

  • Door-to-door delivery is completed within 24–48 hours from the moment of sample acceptance.
  • Transportation is carried out in Dry Shipper type cryo-containers, which ensure storage in liquid nitrogen vapor at a constant temperature of –196°C.

Sperm Transportation

Reliable and fast sperm delivery with guaranteed preservation.

  • Worldwide: Delivery within 72 hours.
  • CIS countries: Delivery guaranteed within 12 hours.
  • Temperature Control: Constant +23°C is maintained throughout the entire journey.

Stages of Reproductive Cell Transportation

You provide us with the sender's and recipient's details, as well as the specifications of the biological material. Based on this information, we analyze the route and the transportation requirements.
We develop a detailed transportation plan, considering all specifics (timelines, container type, regulatory requirements), and provide a final cost estimate for the service.
A service agreement is prepared, and the terms along with available payment options are finalized.
After all terms are agreed upon, the document package is signed, and you proceed with the payment according to the chosen method.
We request and receive from the sending clinic the complete set of medical and identification documents for the biological material.
Based on the obtained data, we prepare the entire necessary shipment package: waybills, customs declarations, permits, and certificates.
Handover of the container to the authorized representative of the designated medical facility or cryostorage in the recipient country.
Successful delivery is confirmed by the signature of the receiving clinic's authorized representative on all accompanying documents.

FAQ about Cryopreserved Biological Material Transport

Is it safe? Will the material thaw during transport?
Absolutely safe. Your cells travel in specialized "cryo-safes" — Dry Shipper containers. Inside, a constant temperature of -196°C is maintained by liquid nitrogen vapor. These containers are designed for multi-day storage, while transport takes a maximum of 1-2 days, eliminating any risk of thawing.
Who will transport our biological material and how?
A dedicated, certified courier is responsible for the transport. They keep the container with them at all times: carrying it as hand luggage in the aircraft cabin (bypassing baggage scanners) and personally delivering it to the receiving clinic. You receive full tracking of the route.
How long does the process take?
We plan for a "door-to-door" timeline of 24 to 48 hours for cell and embryo transport. For sperm transport, delivery within Russia takes up to 12 hours, and worldwide delivery is completed within 72 hours. The preparation and document processing for a shipment typically takes up to 14 days.
What guarantees are in place for preservation?

The guarantee lies in triple-layered protection:

  • Technology: Reliable Dry Shipper maintaining -196°C.
  • Monitoring: Containers are equipped with sensors, and the courier conducts constant oversight.
  • Documentation: We prepare a complete legal and customs package to prevent any delays.
What materials can be transported?
We specialize in transporting all reproductive materials: vitrified oocytes (egg cells), cryopreserved sperm, and embryos at any stage of development.

Professional Biological Material Transport: Safety, Reliability, Full Regulatory Compliance

Organizing the transportation of biological materials is a critically important stage on the path to realizing reproductive programs (IVF), donor programs, or applying cellular technologies. We provide comprehensive logistic solutions for the shipment of oocytes, sperm, embryos, and somatic tissues both within Russia and worldwide. Our primary goal is to ensure the complete preservation, integrity, and legal compliance of the entire delivery process.

Why Choose Us?

Absolute Temperature Control. We use specialized containers (dry shippers, vapor-phase systems) with extended autonomous operation (up to 10 days or more). Continuous monitoring and temperature data loggers (cryo-recorders) are employed for all types of biological materials:

  • Cryopreserved (in liquid nitrogen at -196°C).

  • Chilled (at strictly maintained positive temperatures).

Complete Regulatory & Legal Support. We have expert knowledge of the intricacies of Russian legislation, international standards (ESHRE, FDA), and specific clinic requirements. We prepare all necessary documentation, including informed consents, permits, and medical сопроводительные documents, eliminating any legal risks.

Security & Confidentiality. Delivery follows a "door-to-door" principle by a specialist courier. All data is anonymized, and containers have non-disclosing labeling. We guarantee complete confidentiality and protection of personal data.

Speed & Coordination (Turnkey Logistics). We synchronize the work of laboratories, clinics, and transport services. We book flights, organize express delivery, and promptly resolve any unforeseen situations to minimize transit time.
